Neulerchenfelder Straße 76 – Five Years Later

On February 2021, Three for One Trading evolved in a big way! We switched locations, from a small store to a BIG STORE. Since then a lot has happened and we couldn’t be happier at the “new” location. We want to take some time to look back at what big changes have happened, what we plan for the future and celebrate the past five years of our time here at the Neulerchenfelderstraße 76 with you!
Time to Celebrate Five Years at the Neulerchenfelder Straße 76
To celebrate this special occasion, we’ve planed a few special events for everybody to join! From March 18 to March 27 we’ll host different special tournaments, all in celebration of “5 Years 341 Store”!
In other words, that means we have planned for you a 5 Euro Booster Draft, a Booster Tutor Commander Tournament, a 5 Booster Chaos Draft and a Commander Sealed Deck Tournament including special prizes such as Yuna, Grand Summoner promo cards.
And that’s not even all! We are also giving every “offline customer” who shop with us from 16th to 31th March a 5% discount on all purchases above 50 €. This deal is only valid at our local store here in Vienna, Austria. All the more reason to visit us and celebrate with us!

The first home of Three for One Trading was also in the 16th district of Vienna, Austria. To be precise, it was at Schellhammergasse 23, close to the famous Brunnenmarkt. According to Google Maps, this was only 6 minutes on foot to the new location at Neulerchenfelder Straße 76!

An Interview from the Past
One of our founders, Oliver Polak-Rottmann, gave an interview back in 2021 about the relocation, the situation with the Corona virus and his vision for the store. Somebody travel back in time and tell Oli how awesome everything turned out and packed the tournaments are now. Don’t worry, younger Oli, your dreams will come true!
If you are too young or too old to remember, we had to wear masks almost all the time. This didn’t bother us much, as you can see!
But before Oli could give that great interview, we had to move and moving a lot of Magic cards is, as you can imagine, a lot of work! Not only that, but we also had to plan and setup the new location. Lots of work for people who only want to sell cardboard and play games.
And here is a picture of our very first Commander and Draft evening at the new location.
Fun fact: All of these young nerds are still playing at the Neulerchenfelder Straße 76 until this very day. The one or other is now even working at Three for One Trading. If you look closely, you might recognize some of them!
Neulerchenfelder Straße 76
Our “new” location came with a ton of benefits. Not only did we increase the square footage by 300%, but we also gained a fair amount of play area which rather small at the previous location. Now we have seats for… wait for it… 76 players! That can’t be a coincidence, right?
Another huge benefit is the tram station directly at our front door. Tramway 2 passes directly by our nose, which is incredible for our visitors. There are also trams number 44 and 46 close by, which is a great alternative to the 2. In addition to those, the subway station U6 Josefstädter Straße is just 10 minutes away.
There is literally no reason NOT to visit us!
Back in the store, we could establish every card shop owner’s dream: A huge display of sealed product directly behind the counter. We managed to set up a fantastic selection of almost every booster available. This ranges from The Dark, to Alliances, over Scourge to the newest Magic: The Gathering expansions.
On top of that, we have a second display set up for preconstructed Commander decks, sleeves, playmats and everything that falls in-between. And that’s not even all: We also got a Second-Hand Flea Market as well as a glass display case with all the important staples, right at the counter.
All of that wouldn’t have been possible at the old location, but now we have got almost everything, try us!
Walls and Boxes by Johannes Baluch
Most of you might already know our amazing Five-Color Magic wall painted by Johannes Baluch. After it followed a project of individually painted dice boxes for the gaming area, which grew in these five years immensely. Johannes Baluch painted a total of roughly 20 beautiful boxes for us!
Who knows what cooperations with this talented young Viennese artist lies ahead?
In addition to the boxes, the play area also got equipped with colorful playmats designed by Florian Hochwarter. They now are an essential part of our store and also pretty iconic by now! Florian also did a lot of different artwork for our custom 341 Token, which you can get here.
Big Store, Big Tournaments
Three for One Trading made it into the top tier category for WPN Premium stores, with over 10’000 tickets sold in 2025. As such, we organized some pretty huge tournaments. Among them were the Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease tournaments, which were all sold out or our biggest Friday Commander Party yet, which was also Lorwyn Eclipsed with a total of 64 players.
The biggest in-store tournament so far was the Flesh and Blood World Tour Vienna, which accommodated over 90 players for the Flesh and Blood Battle Hardened Vienna.
Other big events at our store in the Neulerchenfelder Straße included Prereleases in general, Commander nights, 341 Legacy 1Ks, the Saturday ThreeForWohnzimmer-Drafts hosted by Franz, the Old School Viennageddon community event, a charity event, bingo nights and Premodern tournaments!
Overall you can say that the location gathered a lot of magic over the past five years!
You Are All Winners
Where there are a lot of Magic players, there are also a lot of winners. We want to celebrate each and everyone of you that has gotten into ANY TOP 8 over the past years in our store.
Check out how many pictures we took over the last five years of all those charming winning personalities (and maybe some other cool group pictures)! And that’s probably not even all of them, due to lazy photographers and overwhelmed counter staff.
The Future Is Looking Bright… and Cold
Local game stores sometimes have a bad reputation for being a place of special odors and stagnant air. There are many reasons for that: Lots of people in one tight spot, teenage boys being teenage boys, climate change and old stinky cardboard.
If all things go well, we’ll have a new air conditioning system in 2026 that will cool down our whole gaming area and offices to chilling temperatures. This will not only always keep the air fresh but also keep our heads cool during the rising summer heat. Three for One Trading’s gaming area will be even more pleasant in the following five years!
This will not be the only change that will await us in the future! We got big plans and a lot of bright minds with awesome ideas in our team.
