Was ist das ThreeForWohnzimmer?
Bevor wir uns näher mit den Ereignissen der vergangenen Wochenenden befassen, müssen wir zunächst erklären, was ThreeForWohnzimmer eigentlich ist.
Alles begann wahrscheinlich während eines sehr späten Drafts in unserem Three for One Trading-Laden hier in Wien. Unser müder, aber dennoch gut gelaunter Franz beklagte sich wahrscheinlich darüber, dass einfach nicht genug Drafts gespielt werden. Dann schlug das Schicksal wahrscheinlich zu, als Franz seine Karten auf den Boden fallen hat lassen und sie auf mysteriöse Weise folgende Worte erschienen ließen:
FULL DAY DRAFT
Franz wusste sofort was das bedeutet: „Was wäre, wenn wir einfach … einen ganzen Tag lang im Laden leben und draften würden?!” Und so entstand die Idee mit dem Wohnzimmer. Und der Rest ist wahrscheinlich Geschichte!
Das ThreeForWohnzimmer ist eine Samstagsveranstaltung, die von Franz veranstaltet und geleitet wird und bei der wir den ganzen Tag lang draften! Alles ist rund um die Idee eines Wohnzimmers aufgebaut: Komm vorbei, genieße die Gesellschaft, geh, wenn du musst, komm später wieder vorbei usw.
Die Teilnehmer:innen können sich hinsetzen und an allen drei organisierten Drafts teilnehmen, an einer einzelnen Veranstaltung teilnehmen oder einfach vorbeikommen und spielen, was sie wollen (Commander, Premodern, Brettspiele usw.). Wer an allen drei Draft-Turnieren teilnimmt, schafft es manchmal sogar unter die Top 8, wo der oder die Gewinner:in des Tages ermittelt wird!
All dies in einem thematischen Rahmen, der von Franz selbst kuratiert wird. Dies waren die bisherigen Themen:
Für alle, die gerne Draft spielen und/oder einfach nur einen entspannten Samstag verbringen möchten. Das Hauptturnier besteht aus drei Drafts; die beiden besten Ergebnisse zählen für die Bestimmung der Top 8. Der Gewinner erhält Ruhm und Ehre (sowie ein paar Booster und kostenlose Getränke). Außerdem gibt es Nebenturniere, wie zum Beispiel Drafts nach Spielerwahl, Commander und, auf Wunsch, eine Brettspiel-Ecke.

Due to its great success, we are going into the second round with our ThreeForWohnzimmer. This time it’s all about the Lord of the Rings!
Dear friends of magical gatherings!
It is with great anticipation that I invite you back to the ThreeForWohnzimmer on October 12th to spend a Saturday (or optionally just parts of it) with Magic & Lembas.
…Lembas? Yes. I am shocked to announce that another ring of power has been found – TheWohnRing! Together, let us find a way to destroy it or choose a worthy ring bearer who will not be corrupted by it.
This will be done in the tried and tested way: Three drafts are to show who is the most worthy of us and can wear the ring. Or will there even be someone who resists the temptation and throws the ring back into the fires of the Schicksals-Budl for the great benefit of all?
And yes: there will be plenty of dwarf beer.

We are delighted to bring back this now regular highlight in our tournament calendar in 2025. The ThreeForWohnzimmer is entering its third round and this time everything is themed around the classic game series: Heroes of Might and Magic

A bald, handsome herald with glasses steps forward. He wears a simple but high-quality black and white tabard with the numbers 341 in white on a black background. The fanfares fall silent. The herald clears his throat briefly and then begins to speak in a firm, far-reaching voice: “Dear inhabitants of Magical Christmasland! The three kings of Franzreich; David, Oli and Wenzel hereby invite you to the great magical tournament on the first day of the second month in year four after the great plague. Everyone is free to register as a simple participant or as one of the five recognized classes. The five recognized classes are

The Turnei is played in three rounds of magic drafts, with one choice to be made each round. The choices are:
- Order or chaos
- Artifacts or enchantments
- War or peace
The best 8, including the best of each class, will compete against each other in a magical play-off in the discipline of “Draftsealed” to win fame and glory.
For those who don’t know what “Draftsealed” is: All drafted cards from round one to three may be used to build the best deck and smash your opponents into the dust of the arena.May the best be victorious! Further announcements will follow. Now continue with your daily work!

Who will amass the most power to ultimately take their place on the iron throne of the draft king? The throne room game to determine the draft king or queen takes place between rounds and requires no prior knowledge.
Short version: The winners of the drafts will have the opportunity to claim prize boosters as taxes from the losers, the losers will have the opportunity to take disruptive actions against the winners. There will be a short test game at the beginning of Draft 1 to explain this. Opting out of the additional game is possible as always. The person who has earned the most prize boosters at the end of the 3 draft rounds or has obtained them through intrigue will be crowned Draft King or Draft Queen. And, of course, they have to be still alive to claim their throne.

Die fünfte und vorerst letzte Ausgabe von ThreeForWohnzimmer war mit insgesamt 59 Spielern erneut ein voller Erfolg! Diesmal schwangen sich die Spieler auf ihre MtG-Räder, um die TOUR DE FRANZ zu gewinnen! Sie mussten sowohl schwierige Bergrouten als auch Sprint-Herausforderungen bewältigen. Am Ende konnten nur drei Spieler als Sieger hervorgehen:

Wer sagt, dass wir Nerds nicht sportlich sein können? Herzlichen Glückwunsch an alle Gewinner und insbesondere an den Champion, der seine Gegner mit der Kraft von ZWEI Siege-Gang Commanders besiegt hat!
Die Spieler:innen rasten durch die Ebenen von Ravnica, die Berge von Kamigawa und alles dazwischen! Franz fügte dem Turnier zwei Sonderregeln hinzu, damit die Spieler:innen den intensiven Kampf der beiden Radrenn-Spezialisierungen spüren konnten: Sprint und Berg!
- Für Sprint konnten die 3 Spieler, die ihr Draft-Match am schnellsten gewannen, Extrapunkte verdienen.
- Für Klettern konnten die 3 Spieler, die eine zuvor angekündigte Draft-Quest am schnellsten absolvierten, Extrapunkte verdienen.
- Kletter-Quest „Ausdauertest“: Gewinne mit einer Lebenspunktzahl von 50 oder mehr.
- Kletter-Quest „Ich habe alles von Franz gesehen“: Alle Länder deines Decks sind im Spiel oder in deiner Hand.
Wie es bei großen Radrennen Tradition ist, wurden die Gewinner der verschiedenen Kategorien mit einem „passenden“ Trikot ausgezeichnet.

Am Ende gewannen die Sieger:innen auch eine Medaille oder sogar den Tour de Franz-Pokal!
We’re racing through the plains of Ravnica, the mountains of Kamigawa, and everything in between! In its fifth edition, Franz has once again prepared unique draft experiences for you. This is something you definitely don’t want to miss!

Two drafts will be played, with the best six players qualifying for the top eight, plus two additional players who qualify via the side event “The Arena”. Players can win their freedom in the tournament or buy their way out at the end.

Magic und D&D gleichzeitig spielen? Geht das überhaupt!? Finde es heraus und drafte dich durch dein erstes Abenteuer!
Zur Auswahl stehen dir fünf Charaktere mit ihren jeweiligen Spellbooks. Gemeinsam stellt ihr euch der Drachenplage im Dreikönigreich. Doch Vorsicht: Auch andere Magic-erprobte Held:innen reisen an, um die Geschuppten zu bezwingen und sich Ruhm, Ehre und begehrte Schatzkisten (Boosterpacks) zu sichern.
Wer wird sich am Ende als bester Drachenjäger beweisen? Und darf sich vielleicht sogar Drachentöter nennen?
Dieses Event stellt den Spaß klar in den Vordergrund. Auch wenn einige hochkarätige Drafter teilnehmen werden, handelt es sich nicht um ein kompetitives Turnier. Selbst wer im Draft verliert, kann durch das Abschließen von Quests Preise gewinnen. Außerdem munkelt man, dass der Dungeon Master die üblichen Magic-Regeln gelegentlich ganz nach seinem Willen verbiegt …
Für alle, die lieber ein klassisches Draft-Event ohne D&D-Sonderregeln spielen möchten: Kein Problem — gebt einfach vor Beginn Bescheid. Und für alle Neugierigen gilt: Es sind keinerlei D&D-Vorkenntnisse nötig. Magic spielen solltet ihr allerdings können.
